Sellability Advantage

Build the Business Buyers Want to Buy.

Planning to sell your business in the next 2–5 years? The time to prepare is now.

At Robbins Pellegrino, we know what serious buyers look for—and what makes them walk away. Our Sellability Advantage Program evaluates your business as a buyer would today, uncovers weaknesses that may undermine its value, and builds a practical strategy to make it more valuable and attractive to buyers tomorrow.

You don’t need to be ready to sell. You need to be ready to prepare.

Buyer perspective. Practical preparation.

The buyer's view

Your business may be successful. That doesn’t mean it’s ready to sell.

When owners decide to sell, they often discover that buyers see their companies very differently. What looks like a successful business to its owner may present serious concerns to an acquirer.

The worst time to discover these weaknesses is after a buyer has begun due diligence.

Our program is designed to identify them years earlier, while there’s still time to make meaningful improvements.

01

Earnings that are difficult to verify or sustain.

02

Too much operational dependence on the owner.

03

Customer or employee concentration risks.

04

Weak financial reporting and undocumented processes.

05

Organizational deficiencies that complicate a transition.

06

Unrealistic valuation expectations.

These issues can affect the price buyers offer, the terms they’re willing to accept, or whether they proceed at all.

Our difference

We don’t just advise businesses. We sell them.

Robbins Pellegrino works directly with business owners, active acquirers, investors, and transaction professionals. We understand how buyers evaluate opportunities because we participate in that process regularly.

One coordinated advisory relationship, supported by a broader professional network.

Experienced M&A Advisors

Joe Pellegrino, Chandler Robbins, and the RP team provide buyer-perspective analysis, valuation experience, and strategic guidance.

Professional & Financial Partners

Relationships with accountants, financial specialists, banking partners, legal professionals, and other advisors help connect owners with resources to address identified deficiencies.

A good fit for owners who plan ahead

Built for owners who are thinking ahead.

Sellability Advantage is designed for established, profitable companies whose owners:

  • Anticipate a potential sale within the next 2–5 years.
  • Want a realistic assessment of what their business is worth today.
  • Recognize that improvements may be necessary before going to market.
  • Are prepared to invest in strengthening the company.
  • Have the willingness and resources to implement meaningful changes.

You don’t need to know exactly when you’ll sell. You simply need to recognize that what you do now can affect your options later.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need to be ready to sell?

No. The program is designed primarily for owners anticipating a potential sale within two to five years.

Will you tell me what my business is worth?

Yes. We provide an indicative, buyer-perspective valuation range based on available financial information and relevant market considerations. This is not a certified appraisal.

Will RP implement all the recommended improvements?

No. RP provides strategic recommendations, guidance, and accountability. Implementation remains the responsibility of your management team or separately engaged specialists.

Can I cancel the program?

Standard Plan clients may cancel their ongoing advisory subscription at any time. Monthly Plan clients have an initial 12-month commitment, after which service continues monthly.

Do I have to sell through RP?

No. There is no requirement to list your business with Robbins Pellegrino. However, the program includes significant brokerage benefits if you choose to do so.

What if my business is more complex?

The base program covers one operating business. Multi-business packages or unusually complex structures may require customized pricing and additional investigative work.
